It will take place from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28 in Conference Room B of the Columbia Public Library. The Moratorium Committee of Missourians to Abolish the Death Penalty considers it wise public policy to institute a 3-year halt to executions while a balanced commission studies various issues of fairness with our state?9s death-penalty system.MADP and member-group, the Mid-MO FOR additionally condemn all murders, including these "legal" homicides by the state. The building's circuit box sits on one wall, half hidden by a strategically hung tapestry. Pipes and conduits criss-cross the low ceiling, betraying the makeshift nature of the organization's headquarters. The small office is abuzz as Terrell busily fields calls from local reporters and several national news magazines.
